ECUADOR INTERNSHIP
DO YOU WANT TO live overseas and boost your career?
We have two options available to you from 3 months or up to 1 year:
1. INTERNSHIP: This option gives you valuable international employment experience. Ideal for boosting your resume or CV and also putting into practice any previous study. Employers are increasingly seeking international experience especially for those who intend to work in management, eco-tourism, hospitality, marketing, international development or politics.

2. WORK AND TRAVEL: What about earning up to $10,000?
For those with teaching experience that is possible with Greenforce in Ecuador. A perfect way to live overseas, and return home with more money in your bank than when you left!

WhERE WILL I INTERN?
On Arrival: We collect you from Quito International Airport, just look for Hal in his Greenforce polo shirt.
We then take you to your home stay house and settle you into your twin room. The next day we collect you and we head to our office for your Welcome and Safety briefing. This is also the opportunity to discuss your placement, spanish language competence and brief you on living in Quito - transport, banking etc.
We offer placements in NGO's and social welfare positions as well as commercials positions in tourism, management and marketing organisations in Quito.
You will know before you go as we will discuss with you, before departure, your options so you can select where to Intern.
Our in country staff will work hard to find you your perfect placement - practical eco-tourism, front of house in a eco-lodge, marketing plans for a tourist operation, management programs in commercial companies - so if you want office based or out in the field - or even a combination of the two, we can provide you with your ideal intern package.
Plus: Included SPANISH LESSONS
Not only will you improve your employment options with this internship but you can add another languages to your skill set. If you have some Spanish these one to one lesson will really improve your skills.
If you have limited language skills one to one training is the only way to learn. As our teachers will take you out into real situations to learn - reading the newspapers, off to the market or even a film!
What WILL I DO?
You will have enough time to settle in during the first two weeks as you will stay with other Greenforce Volunteers in our house with the resident Ecuadorian family - eating meals together, off to a local football match, we also include a salsa lesson and an Ecuadorian cooking lesson - the perfect way to settle into the South American lifestyle!
As most internships requires Spanish, for the first two weeks, from 8.30 am to 12.30 you will undertake Spanish lessons. These are one to one, so you can go with your teacher out into the markets to learn Spanish in real world situations.
During these two weeks you will also have the chance to visit your internship location so that in week three you are fully prepared when you turn up for work
Your internship will be selected by you before you arrive in country. Furthermore you may have the opportunity to meet with them before starting your placement. Placements are typically for 3 months but longer options are available to enable you to take advantage of Ecuador and the Galapagos.
Of course our Quito office is there to assist you and provide you with all the back up to ensure that not only does your South American internships boost your career path but also that you have an amazing time in this stunning country!
SOUTH AMERICAN INTERNSHIP INCLUDES:
On receipt of your Booking Form, we will call to discuss any questions you may have. STA will also call you to discuss your flight options. You then receive briefing packs including medical, kit, FCO advice, country history and project information. You will also be invited to your briefing day in Central London. We will fully prepare you before you go.
Airport collection, welcome and safety briefing. Homes stay twin en-suite room and three meals per day for two weeks. 10 days one to one Spanish lessons for 4 hours per day. Salsa lesson. Cooking lesson or Football match visit. Internship placement and briefing. Accommodation service - typically £100/£200 per month. Emergency back up. Airport drop off. Reunion Party.
